Moritaya Soy Milk & Yogurt All-in-one Gel

All-in-one creams are the best. I know a lot of people enjoy buying 10 different products and spending half the morning or night on their routine. When I first got into Korea skincare and the Korean skincare routine, I got some enjoyment out of it myself. It was fun to shop for multiple products and have them all lined up on a shelf with their pretty packaging. It felt so luxurious to layer on those products with their varying scents and consistencies. I get the appeal of the 10-step Korean skincare routine.

But sometimes, you just don't have the time or energy for all that. Sometimes you feel lazy. Sometimes you wake up late. Sometimes you just can't be bothered. This is where the Japanese all-in-one cream steps in to save your skin. Those busy mornings, your skin can be pampered with just one product rather than eight! On nights when you're tired and just want to go to bed, the all-in-one cream has you covered!

I initially wanted a product like this because, well, I'm about to have a baby and babies need A LOT of attention and care. A 10-step skincare routine just isn't going to happen. I'll be lucky if I can manage a 3-step routine. After cleansing, just apply the cream and that's it. Done. AIO creams usually contain your toner, essence, serum, emulsion, and cream all in one product. The only extra step you'd really need is an eye cream, which I know I should use the eye cream I have but I always forget it. On masking days, follow your usual pre-masking routine, mask, then use and AIO and you're done.

So now that we know what an AIO cream is, let's actually talk about this Moritaya Soy Milk and Yogurt gel cream. I wanted something paraben-free (because again, I'm being overly cautious with my little one) and this product popped up in a sea of paraben-heavy AIO's. You may recognize the logo from their popular Soy Yogurt face pack. I haven't tried it, mainly because I'm just not into wash-off masks anymore...and I'm too lazy. But I have heard good things about the mask and I like that the AIO gel cream contains a lot of the same ingredients as the pack.

The AIO gel cream contains yogurt, soy milk, fruit extracts, vegetable extracts, and lots of other natural goodness for your skin to soak up. It's paraben-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and dye-free. It has a veeeerrrrrry slight soy scent, but it's not strong or off-putting and I barely noticed it after using it for awhile.

I keep referring to this product as a gel cream, so I'll talk about the texture. It is very much a gel, almost jelly-like, product. It wiggles, it jiggles. You have to dig your finger or spatula (if you have an extra one) a little bit in there to get the product out,

otherwise you'll barely get anything out. Once you get the product from jar to face, it's very easy to work into your skin and it feels very moisturizing. If you have oily skin, it may feel a bit heavy if you use too much so a little bit really goes a long way. If you have dry skin, go nuts but not tooooo nuts. The gel is quite thick and it spreads very well, so you don't need as much as you think to get the job done. The product leaves a moist feeling on your skin, but it's not sticky or tacky.

There are two different sized containers available. This is the smaller size that cost me around 2600yen, while the bigger size (80g) is around 3700yen. For an all natural product that lasts quite awhile, it's not a terribly high price. There are much more expensive drugstore AIO creams that aren't natural and are about the same quality as this product.

Overall, I was quite impressed with this product. Though for me, the price is a little steep, but it does work well, lasts a long time, and contains really good ingredients. I would certainly buy this product again. It takes a minute to apply almost an entire skincare routine and my face feels moisturized, soft, and smooth afterwards.

I highly encourage everyone to try an AIO cream! They're super convenient, especially in the morning or when traveling. I'm a complete convert now that I've been using this product for a few weeks!
